Life through a 4" screen
I'll admit I take plenty of photos as Sally and myself continue our one way trip around the world.
However, one thing we've both noticed is that people are travelling and living their life through a 4" screen (maybe 6" at best).
We either see people taking photo after photo to get the perfect shot or shooting videos while they are walking, eating, driving, riding or while they are getting to enjoy a new experience.
Then use apps to modify themselves and the pictures into a work of art. Let's stick to reality and show the world who we are.
My real friends know I have crooked teeth, a big nose and my wife has taught me to smile big and put down the digital device.
Put the 4" screen down, talk to your partner, make new friends, eat new foods, drink new cocktails, see new sights and experience all the amazing cultures and experiences this world has on offer in widescreen, panoramic 70mm, full colour with your own eyes.
You'll be amazed at what you'll see when just living in the moment and taking it all in.
We only get one chance at this, so let's try and make the most of this life by actually living it.
We are all guilty of letting Social Media takeover, but let's remember it's there to keep your friends and family knowing you are still here, having fun and enjoying life.
It's life/work balance.
